Village of Thiensville, Wisconsin seeking Police Chief

The Village of Thiensville, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, population 3,190 is seeking Chief of Police candidates. The current chief is retiring after over 34 years with the department and 5 years as chief. The candidate is to have progressive leadership and command training with ten years in police work, with 3 years supervisory or administrative experience in management positions in law enforcement or a related field is preferred. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, a Bachelor’s Degree in law enforcement or a related field is preferred, a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and certification by the State Training and Standards Board. Ideal candidates should possess strong leadership and communication skills, experience in police operations/supervision, budgeting and personnel management, emergency management, (See the attached document for full details) Deadline: October 5, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
