Difficulty Logging into the “Member’s Area” After a Password Reset & Multiple Email Notifications
December 14, 2012
Dear Members:When you reach the WCPA “Member’s Area Login” page, press and hold down the CTRL and F5 keys on your computer’s keyboard then release. NOTE: After the CTRL and F5 keys are released the page will appear to “refresh.”
Enter in your username (email address) and the new password you had created into the appropriate login fields.
Some members have reported that they have been experiencing an issue logging into the “Member’s Area” after resetting their profile password as well as an issue in which the System is sending multiple email notifications.
Your Internet Browser’s “cache” is the most likely culprit associated with a login problem after a profile password reset.
The good news is that if this is the issue, it can easily be resolved by:
When the CTRL + F5 keys are held down simultaneously and released most Internet Browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc…) recognize this as command to clear a page’s “cache.” Once the “cache” is cleared, the browser is now “open” to accept the new password that had been created.
As mentioned, the “CTRL + F5” method the way to clear most, but NOT all Internet Browsers page “caches.” For complete information accompanied with “screenshots” on how to clear different types of PC and MAC Internet Browsers, click on the link below.
The issue regarding the System sending multiple email notifications is being looked into and should be resolved by Monday morning.
